Mr. Fitzgerald focuses his practice on business litigation, including Trade Secret (Civ. Code §3426) and Unfair Competition (Bus. & Prof. Code §17200) litigation, securities broker-dealer litigation, and appeals. He has represented a variety of business entities and securities broker-dealer firms during his many years of practice, and represented Dean Witter Reynolds in Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. v. Byrd, a 9-0 decision by the United States Supreme Court enforcing agreements for arbitration of customer-broker disputes.
Mr. Fitzgerald is a panel arbitrator for the National Futures Association (NFA).
Mr. Fitzgerald graduated from Allegheny College, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. Mr. Fitzgerald earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Duke Law Journal.
