Jones Bell’s real estate practice covers a broad range of the real estate industry and encompasses both transactional and litigation matters. The firm represents owners of office, industrial, retail and multi-family buildings. It also represents real estate brokers, institutional lenders, developers, property managers, tenants, and mobile home park developers and operators.
Acquisitions & Dispositions
Jones Bell represents clients in connection with purchasing and selling property in virtually every asset class, including office, industrial, retail, residential, condominium, and mixed-use properties. The firm’s experience in representing buyers and sellers in complex transactions allows us to efficiently resolve issues that commonly arise before and after closing.
Commercial Leasing
Commercial leasing is at the core of the firm’s real estate practice. Jones Bell’s approach begins by understanding the business needs of our landlord and tenant clients. Through the firm’s diverse experience advising landlords and tenants in connection with office, industrial, and retail leases, Jones Bell is able to provide practical advice in resolving issues that arise during lease negotiation.
Real Estate Litigation
Jones Bell’s real estate litigation practice includes the defense and prosecution of actions involving the respective obligations of buyers and sellers, commercial and industrial landlords and tenants, and property managers. The firm regularly handles matters involving issues of disclosure, title, operating expenses, construction, title insurance, holdover tenancies, fair value, broker liability, nuisance, and securitization, as well as a wide variety of associated contractual, statutory and insurance coverage issues.
Finance
Jones Bell represents lenders and borrowers in a variety of real estate secured transactions. Because of the firm’s experience negotiating from both sides of the table, Jones Bell is able to craft creative solutions, and still address the need of our borrowers to close in a timely manner.
Commercial Unlawful Detainer
Jones Bell represents owners of office, industrial, and retail properties in evicting tenants. The firm recognizes the ultimate goal of our clients in the typical non-payment of rent case: to evict the tenant as quickly as possible at a reasonable cost. Because of Jones Bell’s extensive experience in this area, the firm is often able to obtain possession of the premises in fewer than 40 days after filing the unlawful detainer complaint.
